Some re-roofing jobs involve stripping the old tile completely; others may consider overlaying new material onto the existing battens. In practice, we recommend a full strip on almost every tile re-roofing job in Bendigo, for several reasons. How long do concrete tile roofs last in Bendigo?

What is the difference between rebedding and repointing a ridge?
Rebedding replaces the mortar bed that the ridge cap sits on. Repointing replaces the pointing face, the visible mortar fillet that seals the cap to the tile surface. Both are often needed together. If only the pointing face is cracked but the bedding is still solid, pointing alone is sufficient.
My concrete tile roof is 30 years old. Should I replace or restore?
This is exactly what an on-site inspection determines. If the tile substrate is structurally sound and the surface responds to cleaning, restoration (clean, repoint, coat) extends service life. If tiles are carbonating or crumbling, replacement is the better long term value.
Can tiles be painted a different colour?

Is there a minimum pitch for tiled roofs?
